Sustainable Materials
Materials chosen to last
We believe sustainable jewelry begins with materials that are made to be worn, cared for and kept.
At Adina Stone, our pieces are crafted in enduring precious metals, including 925 sterling silver, 18k gold vermeil and solid gold. Each material is chosen for its beauty, strength and ability to hold meaning over time.
925 sterling silver
Sterling silver is one of the core materials in our collections, chosen for its strength, beauty and long-term value.
We use solid 925 sterling silver, a precious metal made from 92.5% pure silver. It has a brighter, more refined finish than base metals and is naturally hypoallergenic for most wearers, making it a considered choice for sensitive skin.
Unlike brass, which is a base metal often used in lower-cost fashion jewelry, sterling silver has intrinsic material value. It is more durable, more precious and better suited to jewelry designed to be worn, cared for and kept.
Silver has also become an increasingly valuable material in recent years, with prices rising significantly due to growing industrial demand and ongoing supply pressures. JPMorgan reported that silver rose by more than 130% over 2025, while recent market reporting shows silver remained substantially higher year-on-year in May 2026.
For us, sterling silver is not just a foundation metal. It is part of the value of the piece itself: precious, lasting and made for jewellery that should never feel disposable.
Gold vermeil
Our gold vermeil pieces are made with 5 microns of 18k gold over solid 925 sterling silver and is one of the highest standards of gold vermeil available on the market.
Unlike standard gold plating, vermeil uses precious metal throughout, giving each piece a more substantial and lasting quality. The thicker layer of gold offers the warmth, richness and finish of gold, while the sterling silver base keeps the piece accessible and hypoallergenic.
We offer yellow gold, rose gold and white gold vermeil across many of our designs, giving customers the freedom to choose the finish that feels most personal.
To extend the life of each piece, we also offer a subsidised replating service, allowing customers to refresh their jewellery over time. For us, longevity is part of luxury. Jewellery should be cared for, restored and enjoyed for years, not replaced unnecessarily.
Solid gold
For customers seeking a lifelong investment piece, we also offer selected designs in solid gold.
Solid gold is prized for its permanence, durability and heirloom quality. It is a material made to move through life with you, from everyday wear to special occasions and, eventually, to the next generation.
Made to be cared for
Longevity is a key part of our approach to sustainability.
We offer aftercare services including replating, stone setting and ring resizing, helping customers maintain and adapt their jewellery over time. Rather than replacing a piece, we believe in caring for it properly so it can continue to be worn and loved.
