Jewelry Care & Metals
Each Adina Stone piece is handcrafted with care and designed to be worn, loved, and treasured for years to come. From sterling silver and gold vermeil to solid gold, diamonds, and natural gemstones, thoughtful care will help preserve the beauty and longevity of your jewelry.
As jewelry is delicate by nature, everyday exposure to water, perfumes, lotions, oils, and chemicals can affect its finish over time. With a little mindful care, your favorite pieces will continue to shine beautifully.
To keep your jewelry looking its best, we recommend putting your pieces on last when getting ready, after applying perfumes, skincare, or beauty products. At the end of the day, remove them first.
We suggest removing your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or doing activities that may cause unnecessary friction or impact.
Chlorine, salt water, sweat, and household chemicals can be especially harsh on sterling silver, gold vermeil, and gemstone jewelry. Keeping your pieces dry whenever possible will help protect their shine and finish.
A little gentle care goes a long way. After wearing your pieces, use a soft microfibre cloth or jewellery polishing cloth to gently remove everyday oils, dust, and fingerprints while keeping the finish looking fresh.
For a deeper clean, warm water with a small drop of mild dish soap is usually all you need. Gently clean around chains, settings, and stones using a soft toothbrush, then rinse carefully and dry completely with a soft cloth.
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, and strong cleaning products, as these can damage delicate finishes. Gold vermeil, pearls, and many natural gemstones especially benefit from a softer, more gentle approach.
To help protect your jewelry from scratches and everyday wear, store each piece separately in a soft pouch, jewelry box, or fabric-lined case.
For necklaces and pendants, fastening the clasp before storing and laying chains flat or gently coiling them will help prevent tangles and knots.
Keep your jewelry away from direct sunlight and humid areas such as bathrooms. Some natural gemstones, including amethyst, rose quartz, and smoky quartz, may naturally fade over time when exposed to strong sunlight.
Before storing your pieces, always make sure they are completely dry. This simple step helps sterling silver and gold vermeil maintain their beauty and finish for longer.
